Dr. Sandra Short is a pioneering cosmetic dentist with over 30 years of experience in implant dentistry. Formerly of Dentartistry, she now leads the team of cosmetic dentists at Gentle Dental Care Double Bay, where she has transformed smiles across Australia. Renowned for her groundbreaking “Bridge-on-4” dental implant treatment, Dr. Short has been at the forefront of cosmetic dentistry for three decades, consistently delivering the smiles her patients have always desired.
A graduate of Sydney University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Dr. Short is one of the few general dentists accredited by the Dental Board to provide conscious sedation and is also qualified to offer intravenous “twilight” sedation. She has trained with some of the world’s foremost dental implant surgeons and has imparted her expertise by teaching dental implant surgery at both national and international dental schools.
Dr. Short is the author of ‘The Consumer Guide to Cosmetic Dentistry’ and ‘The Guide to Oral Health’ and is a sought-after cosmetic dentist for sports and TV personalities, with appearances on Australia’s Next Top Model and Mornings with Kerri Anne. She is a respected member of several professional organisations, including the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology, the Australian Society of Implant Dentists, the Australian Osseo-Integration Society, and the International Congress for Oral Implantologists.
