About
She is highly qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and two Master's degrees in Counselling Psychology and Health Psychology. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and has completed her Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from City University London.
Dr Khatun has helped a wide range of individuals with difficulties including: anxiety, career and work related issues, generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, depression, sadness, phobias and fears, bereavement and loss, panic disorders, OCD, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, health issues, psychosexual identity issues, low self-esteem and personality disorders.
Her approach is adaptable and open-minded, using techniques and theories from many different therapeutic models - including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This allows her to cater her work specifically to every client's needs, creating an individualised treatment plan that will be the most effective for them. Dr Khatun's goal is always to help clients make positive changes in their emotions, thoughts and behaviours; leading them towards self-empowerment so they can live their best lives moving forward.
