Dr. Samah Abou Assi is a highly skilled Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with extensive expertise in managing acute and chronic coronary syndromes, congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, peripheral artery disease, and preventive cardiology. Dr. Abou Assi’s clinical expertise includes performing coronary angiography and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), peripheral arteriography and angioplasty, and noninvasive ischemic testing such as TMT and stress echo. He is proficient in cardiac CT and calcium scoring, as well as both transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. Additionally, he utilises Holter monitoring for ECG and blood pressure assessments.
Currently, he serves as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group in Dubai. His previous roles include serving as Head of the Cath Lab at Ain Wazein Medical Village in the UAE and working as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Mount Lebanon Hospital University Medical Center in Lebanon. Dr. Abou Assi further honed his skills during his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou in Paris, following his residency in Cardiology and Internal Medicine at Hôtel-Dieu de France in Beirut.
