Sam San
Podiatry
About
Sam has a particular interest in sports injuries and supporting individuals who want to remain active, whether they are competitive athletes, recreational runners or people simply looking to walk comfortably without pain. She has supported athletes at demanding endurance events such as the Marathon des Sables ultramarathon in the Sahara Desert and the London Marathon, where she helped runners manage acute injuries and continue working towards their performance goals.
She holds a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry and an MSc in Podiatric Sports Medicine. Her clinical expertise includes musculoskeletal assessment and diagnosis, gait analysis, orthotic prescription, tailored rehabilitation and exercise programmes, taping techniques and collaborative multidisciplinary care.
Outside of her clinical work, Sam is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, giving her first-hand insight into the physical demands of combat sports and the types of injuries that commonly affect the feet, ankles and knees.
Sam takes a holistic and evidence-based approach to care, combining rehabilitation, orthotic therapy and injury prevention strategies to help patients recover effectively and maintain long-term mobility. She believes in empowering patients through education, clear treatment plans and practical advice tailored to their lifestyle, with the aim of helping them move better, recover faster and stay active for the long term.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
