About Dr Saima Rajasingam
Dr Saima Rajasingam, a Clinical Audiologist at Cubex, graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Audiology from University College London and went on to earn her PhD in Auditory Perception at Aston University. As a registered Audiologist with the RCCP and a registered Hearing Aid Dispenser with the HCPC, she brings a wealth of experience from both the NHS and private sector. Currently serving as the Course Leader for the Foundation Degree and Higher Apprenticeship in Hearing Aid Audiology at Anglia Ruskin University, Saima has a diverse background in education, ranging from university certificate to Masters levels. Her involvement in full-time education and work-based learning courses, including apprenticeships, has given her a comprehensive understanding of the varying requirements and needs within the sector. Alongside her educational role, Saima maintains her clinical practice as a Consultant Audiologist at Cubex Audiology and holds the distinction of being a Fellow of the British Society of Audiology (FBSA). Saima's research interests encompass auditory stream segregation, speech-in-noise perception in individuals with hearing loss, the impact of healthcare communications on promoting help-seeking behaviour for hearing loss, remote audiological care, and the influence of hearing technologies on communication in 'noisy' environments. At Anglia Ruskin University, she leads the Applied Hearing Research Hub within the Vision and Hearing Sciences Research Centre, showcasing her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.
