About
Mr. Higgin completed his Bachelor of Medical Science (2011) and Bachelor of Medicine (2012) at the University of Southampton. He undertook Trauma and Orthopaedic Specialty Training and in 2021 he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery (FRCS Tr&Orth). He further advanced his expertise through the AOA Accredited International Fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery and Joint Reconstruction in Adelaide, South Australia in 2022 and was recognised as a BOA Travelling Fellowship Prize Winner.
His clinical practice covers a wide spectrum of knee and hip procedures, ranging from minimally invasive arthroscopic day-case surgery to complex joint reconstruction. His areas of expertise include sports injuries, ACL reconstruction, multi-ligament knee surgery, patella stabilisation, meniscal repair, cartilage preservation, and osteotomy. He also performs partial and total knee replacements, total hip replacements, as well as revision surgery for both hips and knees.
