About
Dr Blackham assures compassion and quality in her care for all of her patients.

Dr Blackham is highly experienced and is the only Surgeon to have received both the AMA WA Junior Doctor of the Year and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons' John Corboy Medal (the highest honour for a surgical trainee).
She gained her MBBS degree from the University of Western Australia in 2004 and received specialised training in bariatric surgery in Perth and Melbourne. Additionally, she was awarded the IFSO Asia Pacific Medtronic scholarship and the ANZGOSA-Upper GI Younger Fellow scholarship in London.
Dr Blackham was also given a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship after completing 20 years of medical and surgical study, enabling her to study surgery internationally in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Singapore, London, and Vienna.
She is a member of a number of associations including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, ANZGOSA – Aust & NZ Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association, IFSO – International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders, and ASMBS - American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.
