About Dr Romila Bahl
Dr Romila Bahl is a fully qualified Sports & Exercise Medicine physician. She trained formally in Sports & Exercise Medicine after working for 10 years as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Major Trauma. She runs a Regional Paediatric and Adolescent Sports Medicine Service and works for the Faculty of Sports Medicine in promoting physical activity. Romila has worked with Olympic, Paralympic and Military athletes as well as all levels of recreational and club athletes. She is an expert in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of acute and chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions and helping those with MSK related pain. Romila offers a comprehensive MSK health assessment and uses her extensive medical knowledge to individualise a plan that fits into the lifestyle and requirements of her patients. Her goals are to keep people doing the activities and sports they love. Dr Bahl has first hand experience of being injured herself and working through injury and medical conditions disrupting the sporting goals of her teenage children. She knows the frustration and wants to help patients minimise impact whilst working towards a realistic recovery. She is keen to listen and knows how impactful musculoskeletal injuries and pain can be and how important it is to get the right diagnosis and right plan.
