About

Dr. Robert Wojciechowski is a highly experienced psychiatrist, registered with the General Medical Council as a Specialist since 2006. He graduated from the Silesian Medical Academy in Zabrze, Poland, in 1993 and completed his postgraduate training in Adult Psychiatry in 2006.

Over the years, he has also trained in psychotherapy, including a one-year course in basic psychotherapeutic skills in Kraków and a three-year programme in psychoanalytic psychotherapy in Warsaw.

Dr. Wojciechowski’s extensive career includes work in both hospital and outpatient settings. In Poland, he served as manager of a Psychiatric Outpatient Department specialising in the treatment of neuroses and addictions, maintained a private practice, and acted as a Court Medical Expert Witness in Adult Psychiatry and Addiction from 1999 to 2006. His clinical expertise covers a wide range of mental health conditions, and his approach integrates both psychotherapeutic and pharmacological treatments.

In 2006, he relocated to the UK to continue his professional growth, working full-time as a Specialty Doctor for the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust from 2008 to 2017. He later transitioned to his current role as a Consultant Psychiatrist and Responsible Officer at Poland Medical Practice in Coventry and Harrow, where he also oversees annual appraisals for fellow doctors.

Committed to continuous learning, Dr. Wojciechowski regularly participates in NHS medical training as part of his Continuing Professional Development. He has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2013.

His areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, reactive and exogenous psychoses; neuroses and related disorders including stress, anxiety, panic attacks, and obsessions; affective disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder; eating disorders including anorexia and bulimia; and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”

— Dr Robert Wojciechowski
