About Mr Rob Staunton
Rob Staunton is a Functional Medicine Nutritionist and Founder of the London Centre for Functional Medicine. He believes in an evidence-based medicine approach that focuses on identifying the root causes of health imbalances. Mr. Staunton’s approach to patient care is centered on the Functional Medicine model, which uses nutrition as a core protocol for every patient. Having overcome chronic Candida, parasitic, and SIBO infections himself, he has a unique understanding of what it's like to be extremely ill and only trying to get healthier. Mr. Staunton is passionate about helping his patients achieve optimal health and wellness by personalizing every patient's approach. He focuses on genetics, lifestyle, toxins, infections, and stress to uncover the imbalance in the body and use the correct modality to bring it back into balance. He has extensive experience treating digestive conditions such as SIBO, IBS, and Candida, as well as chronic fatigue. He believes that good terrain is essential for optimal health, and the microbiome plays a critical role in achieving this. Outside of work, he enjoys a well-balanced life that includes activities such as squash, cooking, and football. He has won Irish and British National Squash Titles, competed in the European and World Squash championships and still plays at a reasonable standard.
