About
Dr Adams has worked as a doctor in the NHS since 2004, covering a range of areas including outpatient and inpatient general adult psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, neuropsychiatry, older adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. He currently holds a weekly clinic in the Camden Early Intervention in Psychosis NHS service, for the diagnosis and treatment of young people.
He gained a BSc in Medicine and Neuroscience from Cambridge University before undertaking his MBBS at the University of London. In 2014, he undertook a PhD looking at the use of computational models in understanding the neurobiology of psychosis and functional symptoms. He has remained active in research and has published more than 55 research papers and 7 book chapters to date.
He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Physicians, and he is an approved clinician under section 12 of the Mental Health Act.
