In 2003, Dr. Rana moved to Dubai, where she has continued to specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of eye conditions. Her areas of expertise include glaucoma, cataract surgeries, eye infections and allergies, Meibomian gland dysfunction, dry eye syndrome, uveitis, and eyelid disorders. Moreover, she is skilled in managing anterior segment diseases, corneal disorders, keratoconus, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal detachment.
With over 25 years of experience in ophthalmology and eye surgeries, Dr. Rana has spent more than a decade preparing patients for laser eye surgeries and providing postoperative care, often collaborating with visiting surgeons from Europe. She is an active member of several prestigious organisations including the Emirates Medical Association (EMA), Middle East Africa Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO), European Society of Ophthalmology (ESO), and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
