Professor Jiang was trained in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital, King's College Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Queen Square). The skilled surgeon completed a prestigious fellowship in Skull Base Surgery and Advanced Neuro-Otology at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. He was one of surgeons in Europe pioneered hearing preservation techniques in cochlear implant surgery, Professor Jiang was awarded a PhD following his research into auditory physiology and pathology. He remains involved in research in the field of auditory implants and regeneration of damaged inner ear structures at King's College London. Professor Jiang is a board member of European Academy of Otology and Neurotology and a Trustee of British Cochlear Implant Group, he was ex Honorary Secretory and Vice President of Otology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine
