Overview: 
I am an Accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with over 17 years experience working with clients through trauma helping them to release feelings that are stuck in the body. I also work with clients to support them through loss and bereavement, relationship issues and complex emotional experiences which are causing ongoing stress leading to feelings of being overwhelmed.  
My areas of expertise include post traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, body related issues [involving release of feelings from the body] stress and feelings of being overwhelmed, obsessive compulsive disorder and clinical supervision for other Counsellors and Across Professions. I offer a professional confidential service where clients will feel safe to explore any issue. 


Listed below are the different therapies which I may use with clients: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: explores how our unconscious thoughts arise from our early life experiences/past relationships which influence current feelings and behaviours. It helps clients gain insight and ways of developing healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. 
EMDR therapy: it reduces the emotional intensity of past experiences so they no longer feel overwhelmed 
Inner Child Healing: it helps clients to reconnect with and nurture their inner child promoting self-compassion, emotional healing and healthier relationships 
Brief Solution Focussed Therapy: it helps clients identify strengths, resources and small achievable steps to create positive change rapidly. 
My approach primarily is client-centred, creating a space where clients feel safe, held, and supported. When someone comes to therapy feeling stuck – like logs jammed in a river – I focus first on helping them regain movement by developing coping skills, and from there a client can choose whether they wish to explorer deeper therapeutic work.
