She then completed a clinical research fellowship at the Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, undertaking basic laboratory research in neurodevelopmental genetics. She then completed higher specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology in London at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Dr Lee became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians UK in 2023. She has many professional memberships and affiliations including British Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (BSCN), Association of British Neurologists (ABN) and British Peripheral Neuropathy Society (BPNS)
