About Mr Nikolas Jagodzinski
Mr Nik Jagodzinski is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery. His clinical work focuses on the diagnosis and management of conditions affecting the hand, wrist, and upper limb, including traumatic injuries and acquired disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow. Mr Jagodzinski completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester and undertook orthopaedic training across South West England, Birmingham, and Peterborough. He later completed an Orthoplastics Interface Fellowship in Oxford, where he was awarded the Vivien Lees Gold Medal for achieving the highest mark in the United Kingdom Orthoplastics Hand Diploma. He has also undertaken additional specialist training in hand surgery techniques internationally, including advanced microsurgical and reconstructive training. His specialist interests include wide awake local anaesthetic no tourniquet (WALANT) surgery, arthritis of the hand and wrist, scaphoid fractures and non-unions, nerve compression syndromes, Dupuytren’s disease, and complex upper limb injuries. His practice includes a range of procedures such as wrist arthroscopy, microsurgery, joint replacement and fusion surgery, tendon and nerve reconstruction, fracture fixation, and soft tissue reconstruction. Mr Jagodzinski holds an NHS consultant role at North Devon District Hospital as part of Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. In private practice, he consults through Royal Devon Private Healthcare and also works with North Devon Surgeons.
