He is faculty for numerous nationally recognised courses including Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Surgical Skills (BSS), the Vascular Limb Salvage Academy (VaLSA) and ASPIRE. He has published >45 papers and presented research nationally and internationally.

Mr Dattani regularly partakes in the national selection process for doctors wishing to pursue a career in surgery as well as in specialist vascular surgery. He serves as a senior advisor on the executive committee of the Vascular and Endovascular Research Network (VERN), which he co-founded in 2013 as well as a council member for the British Society of Endovascular Therapy (BSET).
