Mr Usman Butt

Mr Usman Butt is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder surgery. He is listed on the Specialist Register for Trauma and Orthopaedics.  His practice focuses on the management of acute and chronic conditions of the shoulder and upper limb with treatments involving non-surgical and surgical options. He regularly performs arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures for problems including  tendon and rotator cuff injuries, shoulder instability, arthritis, labral tears, and traumatic injuries. Mr Butt graduated with honours from the University of Birmingham in 2004 and completed core surgical training in the North Midlands, gaining experience across orthopaedics, emergency medicine, vascular and plastic surgery. He later undertook higher specialist training in trauma and orthopaedics in Manchester and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012. He has completed advanced subspecialty training in shoulder and upper limb surgery through competitive UK and international fellowships. These include training at the Wrightington Upper Limb Unit, the Stockport Shoulder Unit, and internationally in Milan and at the Mayo Clinic in the United States. Mr Butt consults at HCA UK - The Wilmslow Hospital and at Ramsay Oaklands Hospital in Salford. His NHS practice is based at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He has published peer-reviewed research and book chapters in the field of orthopaedics and regularly presents his work at national and international conferences.
