As a Senior House Officer, Mr Nedas earned a masters degree in Urology (University College London) with a distinction for his thesis and the Geoffrey Chisholm Gold Medal for overall performance. His postgraduate training in Urology also included a dedicated year of Paediatric Urology at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Mr Nedas is the clinical director for Urology at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (incorporating Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover Hospitals). He also sits on the steering committee for paediatric surgery at Hampshire Hospitals and is on the Medical Advisory committee for The Hampshire Clinic. From 2020-2023 he was the Regional Director for the Royal College of Surgeons in the South Central Region. Alongside his clinical work Mr Nedas is a trustee of the North Hampshire Medical Fund, a charity with the aim of raising money for advanced and innovative medical equipment for Hampshire Hospitals.
Having grown up in London, Mr Nedas now lives in Hampshire with his wife and four children. His hobbies include cooking, running and gardening. Mr Nedas has completed four marathons, a half ironman event, cycled three stages of the Tour de France in 2015 and cycled from Hampshire to the annual BAUS (British Association of Urological Surgeons) conference in Liverpool in 2018. Mr Nedas ran the Leeds marathon in May 2025 in support of research into Motor Neuron Disease (MND). In May 2026 Mr Nedas will be part of Andy’s Army taking on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge – a 100Km walk along the coast line raising funds for MND research.
