After training in Newcastle, Nottingham and Leeds Mr Stirling was appointed as Consultant Ophthalmologist at Darlington Memorial Hospital and the Friarage Hospital Northallerton in 1998. He has a wide experience of cataract surgery as well as the use of astigmatism correcting and multifocal lens implantation. He undertook a corneal fellowship in Australia under the tutelage of Professor Coster.
