About
Professor Kennedy graduated from University College Dublin and completed his postgraduate medical training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in London. In 2009, Dr Kennedy was appointed as a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Hepatology at Barts and The London School of Medicine.
He is active in research, with interests including liver disease, immune mediated liver damage and viral hepatitis. He is on the viral hepatitis clinical guideline committee for NICE and provides expert opinion for the United Kingdom Advisory Panel on blood-borne viruses. He has published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals.
