Mr Mark Duxbury undertook his medical training at Oxford Medical School. He undertook a full-time research fellowship at Harvard Medical School where he studied innovative treatments for pancreatic cancer and liver mestastases.
Following Higher Surgical Training on the Eastern Deanery (Cambridge) rotation he completed further subspeciality training in hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) and transplantation surgery in Edinburgh.
As a Clinician Scientist fellow (Chief Scientist Office) Mr Duxbury was a prinicpal investigatior at the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre and collaborated with colleagues at centres across the UK including the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, The Christie, Cambridge University Hosptials, London hosptals, and international acadmemic centres.
Mr Duxbury has held clinical lecturer positions at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. His NHS practice is now based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary He sees private patients at Ross Hall Hospital, Glasgow, and Ross Hall Clinic Braehead.

Mark Duxbury has received formal training in medicolegal case
assessment and reporting, and serves as an expert witness across the
UK. He is a UK Register of Expert Witnesses vetted expert and on The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) expert list.
He is very familiar with The Civil Procedures Rule for Expert Witnesses in particular CPR Part 35 and PD 35, Practice Direction for Pre-Action Conduct and Protocol for the Instruction of experts.
