About
Mr Mathur graduated from the University of Madras, India in 1993, before completing training on the Birmingham Orthopaedic Programme. He then undertook a fellowship in knee and shoulder surgery in 2002, focussing on joint replacements and key-hole surgery.
He has a particular interest in sports injuries and can perform knee arthroscopy, ligament reconstructive surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroplasty, nerve decompression and stabilisation surgery. Furthermore, he regularly performs knee and shoulder replacements and the new technique Autologous Cartilage Implantation.
Apart from his clinical work, he provides lectures to GPs on sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery and managing articular cartilage injuries.
Mr Mathur is a senior examiner with the Intercollegiate Board for Trauma and Orthopaedics
