Mr Keng Jin Ng is a consultant urologist who specialises in female urology and minimally invasive surgery, with the use of laser treatment for renal stone disease.
He has expertise in the following areas:
Minimal invasive surgery (laser treatment)
PCNL and Holmium laser lithotripsy
Neuromodulation with posterior tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS)
Bulkamid bulking agent injection (hosted Masterclasses to teach consultant colleagues the precise technique)
Pelvic disorders, including gynaecological pain
Bacterial cystitis/interstitial cystitis (Chair, SIG in International Urogynecaological Association 2022-4; Chair of ESSIC International Conference 2026)
Kidney stone disease
Urinary incontinence (stress incontinence, urge incontinence)
Prostate cancer and prostatitis
Pelvic pain syndrome
Pudendal neuropathy
Mr Ng undertook his surgical training as a clinical research fellow at the Institute of Urology in London, where he focused on bladder dysfunction and urodynamics.
Mr Ng is an active member of the International Urogynaecological Association (IUGA), with a particular interest in chronic pelvic pain and interstitial cystitis. He also developed and provides training to other consultants on a new 4-cushion technique and holds surgical masterclasses on surgical techniques for Bulkamid operation.
He also attends The London Bladder Forum and regularly speaks on topics such as cystitis and urinary incontinence treatment for bladder pain syndrome. He has also presented his research on ‘Painful Bladder/Cystitis' at The National Bladder Forum and at the Royal College of Surgeons.
In 2017, he was the Co-Chairman of the Specialist Interest Group based on Pelvic Pain Syndrome at the IUGA conference in Vancouver, Canada. In addition, he was invited to attend the Royal Society of Medicine winter meeting in Sri Lanka, where he delivered a speech on ‘Prostatitis'. He has also presented and co-chaired at the IUGA conference in Vienna.
More recently, he has been a regular invited speaker/moderator at international meetings on the subjects of urinary incontinence and interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome - Osaka, Japan 2023, Kyoto, Japan 2024, Singapore 2024, Mumbai, India 2025.
He was elected Chair of Special Interest Group in Neuro-urogynecology and Urogenital Pain of International Urogynecological Association and served a 3-year term from 2022 to 2024. He is currently Chair of European Society for Study of Interstitial Cystitis international conference for 2026 to be held at The Royal Society of Medicine in London in October 2026.
