About Mr Gavin Brigstocke
Mr. Gavin Brigstocke is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery. He has been practising at Frimley Park Hospital since 2015, where he is well-regarded for his expertise in managing a wide range of hand and wrist conditions, with a particular focus on wrist injuries. His dedication to motion-preserving surgical techniques has earned him multiple awards, and his research in this field has been presented internationally and published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals. Born and raised in Hampshire, Mr. Brigstocke attended Canford School before graduating from Guy’s, King’s, and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine in 2004. He completed his higher orthopaedic training on the South West Thames rotation, followed by two prestigious fellowship posts. His fellowship in trauma surgery was completed in New Zealand, and he further honed his skills in hand and wrist surgery at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London. His commitment to advancing his knowledge in hand surgery earned him the British Diploma in Hand Surgery, awarded by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH). Mr. Brigstocke is an active member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. His approach to patient care is focused on achieving the best possible outcomes through personalised, motion-preserving surgical interventions. Beyond his professional life, Mr. Brigstocke is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys tennis, skiing, golf, and triathlon. His passion for endurance sports has seen him complete Ironman triathlon races in Australia, New Zealand, and Wales, demonstrating the same determination and commitment that he brings to his surgical practice.
