Mr Antony Riddick is a Consultant Urologist currently practising at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and St Edmunds Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, part of Circle Health Group.
He specialises in kidney, testis, and prostate cancer, as well as robotic surgery for kidney cancer and prostatectomy. His expertise also extends to the investigation and treatment of urinary tract infections and disorders related to the penis and scrotum, including vasectomy.
He graduated from Nottingham University in 1992, completing his general surgical training in Sheffield and Nottingham, and his specialist training in urology in East Anglia. In 2005, Mr Riddick was appointed as a consultant urologist in Edinburgh, where he developed a specialist tertiary renal cancer service and a comprehensive surgical service for renal cancer. His research contributions include establishing the NHS Lothian renal cancer tissue bank and the Scottish national kidney cancer biobank.
Moreover, Mr Riddick developed a diagnostic prostate cancer service and was a pioneer in day case 180W Moxy fibre photoselective vapourisation of the prostate in Scotland. Mr Riddick has a keen interest in medical education and served as Training Programme Director for East of Scotland Urology. He currently participates on the faculty for BAUS courses.
