During her two-year fellowship at the University of California San Diego Shiley Eye Institute, she trained under the tutelage of world-renowned surgeons Professor Don Kikkawa and Professor Bobby Korn, mastering the latest minimally invasive techniques in oculofacial surgery. Her innovative research on thyroid eye disease during this time earned her the national ASOPRS prize two consecutive years.
Miss Ting is passionate about research and education, having published over 35 peer-reviewed papers and authored three oculoplastic textbook chapters. She plays a pivotal role in training the next generation of oculoplastic surgeons at her NHS practice. Additionally, she leads the eyelid trauma wet lab course at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, lectures nationally on blepharoplasty and eyelid reconstruction, and teaches ophthalmologists preparing for the oculoplastic component of the FRCOphth Consultant exam.
