Mr Michael Adamczyk

Mr. Michael Adamczyk is a high-volume Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Surgeon, specialising in advanced minimally invasive surgery, with a particular focus on the excision of endometriosis. He is committed to providing transparent, high-quality, patient-centred endometriosis care, ensuring that each patient receives tailored treatment based on their individual needs. Mr. Adamczyk practices at CEMIG London (Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology London), located at HCA Healthcare’s Lister Hospital, and CEMIG at Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (ASPH) in Surrey. Both centres are ranked among the top three in the UK for surgical volume in the treatment of severe endometriosis. As one of the busiest endometriosis surgeons in the NHS in 2023, Mr. Adamczyk regularly performs a high number of advanced endometriosis surgeries each year. His extensive training includes a fellowship in advanced endometriosis surgery, as well as accredited training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for the Excision of Benign Disease (endometriosis), under the mentorship of renowned endometriosis expert Mr. Shaheen Khazali. In addition to his expertise in endometriosis, Mr. Adamczyk is one of the few surgeons globally with formal training in Neuropelveology, accredited by the International Society of Neuropelveology (ISON). This unique training allows him to treat patients with complex pelvic nerve conditions. He is recognised for his work in teaching neuropelveology, frequently hosting webinars with the field’s founder, Professor Possover. Mr. Adamczyk is also a council member for the International Society of Neuropelveology, contributing to advancements in education and innovation in this highly specialised area. His contributions to gynaecological surgery have been recognised with numerous accolades, including the prestigious Golden Telescope Award for best surgical video from the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) in 2022. Mr. Adamczyk has been a BSGE council member since 2019 and currently serves as Chair for Website and Digital Governance within the society. Due to his reputation as an exceptional surgeon, Mr. Adamczyk is regularly invited to speak at national and international conferences. His expertise is also sought after for live surgical demonstrations at these events, and he frequently hosts visiting surgeons to teach his surgical approach to endometriosis excision. He is also the Kent, Sussex, and Surrey Advanced Training Module Preceptor for chronic pelvic pain, overseeing the development of specialist trainees in this field. His practice is almost entirely focused on endometriosis, pelvic pain, and pelvic nerve pathology, with a strong belief in delivering multidisciplinary, patient-focused care to ensure that patients’ voices are heard and their needs are prioritised.
