Dr. Mauricio Taborda is a highly skilled implantology specialist with a wealth of experience in his field, with both periodontics and implantologist specialist degree in Brazil. He obtained his DDS from UNIPLAC-DF in Brasilia, Brazil in 2004 and has sought postgraduate education in the USA, Germany, Hungary and, most recently, concluded his Master's degree in the University of Bologna, Italy. He has practiced almost exclusively in the surgical field since 2006.
Dr. Mauricio's passion for the surgical field led him to excel in his studies and gain recognition as an assistant monitor in the periodontics department of his university. Eager to expand his knowledge and skills, he pursued further education and completed his first specialisation in periodontics at the same institution. Driven by his passion for surgical procedures, particularly in implantology, he continued his professional development by attending conferences and courses in this area. He then completed a second specialisation in implantology at the Brazilian Dental Association (ABO – Brasilia), a comprehensive two-year program.
With his strong foundation in dental surgery, Dr. Mauricio established his private practice, where he focused on providing specialised dental services in implants, periodontics, and minor surgeries. Supported by a dedicated team, he delivered exceptional care in all areas of dentistry.
Since 2011, Dr. Mauricio has been practising in Dubai, continually updating his surgical skills by attending courses and congresses in renowned centers for dental surgery, located in the United States (TEAM Atlanta - Dr. Maurice Salama), Germany (Dr. Marius Steigmann), Hungary (Dr. Istvan Urban) and Italy (university of Bolonga with Prof. Giovanni Zucchelli) . Keeping up with advancements in technology, he has embraced digital dentistry, working with state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. This includes virtual planning in implant procedures, surgical guided implant installations, and digital prosthetic-driven protocols.
