Prim. Univ. Prof. Dr. med. Matthias Rab ist Facharzt für Plastische, Ästhetische und Rekonstruktive Chirurgie. Sein Studium der Medizin absolvierte er an der Medizinischen Universität Wien. Im Jahr 2003 erlangte er das österreichische und europäische Facharztdiplom "Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery" (FEBOPRAS). Seine Habilitation im Bereich der Wiederherstellung der Gesichtsmimik nach Gesichtslähmungen schloss er 2006 an der Medizinischen Universität Wien ab und erhielt die Lehrbefugnis für Plastische, Ästhetische und Rekonstruktive Chirurgie.
