About Matthew Allsop
Matthew Allsop is an experienced Audiologist and Partner at Harley Street Hearing & Musicians’ Hearing Services. He completed his training at The University of Manchester, studying under leading UK experts in Human Communication and Deafness. Since beginning his audiology career in 2008, he has worked extensively across both the NHS and private sectors, gaining valuable experience alongside leading audiovestibular physicians and ENT surgeons in London. Matthew’s clinical practice encompasses both adult and paediatric audiology. He has held roles within the NHS and managed the UK’s flagship clinic for a globally recognised private audiology provider, delivering comprehensive hearing and hearing aid assessments. He has a particular focus on tailoring hearing aid technology to suit both the diagnostic needs and the lifestyle requirements of each patient. As Operations Director at Harley Street Hearing, he leads a team of audiologists, overseeing service delivery and clinical standards across the practice. His leadership is centred on maintaining Harley Street Hearing’s position as a leading independent provider in the audiology field. Matthew has a special interest in musicians’ hearing protection and works with professionals across the music industry to provide tailored solutions. He also specialises in advanced diagnostic audiology, adult rehabilitation, and Lyric extended-wear hearing aids. He is an expert in microsuction wax removal and is committed to incorporating the latest advancements in hearing aid technology into clinical care. In addition to his clinical role, Matthew creates educational content for Hearing Tracker on YouTube, an independent platform for hearing aid users.
