Im Jahr 2000 wurde er zum a.o. Universitätsprofessor ernannt. Neben seiner Tätigkeit in der Ordination ist Prof. Ulm auch an der Univ.-Frauenklinik Wien in der Patientenbetreuung und Lehre tätig.
