Von 2013 bis 2017 schloss er seine Facharztausbildung für plastische und ästhetische Chirurgie in Salzburg und seine Facharztausbildung Dermatologie und Venerologie am Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf in den Spezialgebieten Dermatochirurgie, Ästhetik, Laser und Phlebologie. Seit 2019 ist er der Leiter des Zentrums für Lipödem und der Haut-Ästhetik-Venen-Laser Praxi in Linz.

Ästhetische Medizin
Die ästhetische Medizin ist der interdisziplinäre Teilbereich der Medizin welcher sich mit der Modifikation des Äußeren, also der Behandlung von sogenannte "Problemzonen", auseinandersetzt. Das Spektrum reicht hier von nicht invasiven Eingriffen im Sinne der kosmetischen Dermatologie wie Peelings oder Mikrodermabrasion, über minimal invasive Eingriffe wie die Injektion von Botulinumtoxin oder Hyaluronsäure, bis hin zu operativen Eingriffen wie Fettabsaugung oder Bauchstraffung.


Dermatologie
Die Dermatologie ist ein konservatives und operatives Fach, dass jegliche Erkrankung welche die Haut und/oder Unterhaut betrifft von einem und demselben Spezialisten behandelt werden kann. Unangenehme Überweisungen zwischen Diagnostiker und weiteren Therapeuten, z.B. Chirurgen, entfallen somit.
Das Spektrum reicht von klassischen entzündlichen Hauterkrankungen wie der Psoriasis (Schuppenflechte) und Atopischen Dermatitis (Neurodermitis) über Autoimmunerkrankungen und Erkrankungen der Hautanhangsgebilde, bis hin zu der Diagnostik und Therapie von gutartigen und bösartigen Hauttumoren.


Phlebologie
Die Phlebologie (Phléps, griechisch "Blutgefäß" "Vene") ist das Teilgebiet der Medizin welches sich mit der Diagnostik und Therapie von Gefäßerkrankungen, v.a. Venen (Krampfadern, Besenreiser) beschäftigt.
Die Wahl der Therapie erfolgt nach ausgiebiger Diagnostik und wird auf jeden Patienten individuell abgestimmt. Je nach Form und Ausprägung der Krampfadern kommen operative aber auch nicht operative Therapien in Frage.


Des weitern bietet Ihnen Dr. Barsch Lasertherapien, die Behandlung von Lipödemen und Kryolipolyse an.
