Dr. med. Marcus Franz, MSc ist ein Facharzt für Innere Medizin mit dem Additivfacharzt für Gastroenterologie. Seine medizinische Ausbildung absolvierte er an der Universität Wien, wo er 1987 promovierte. Seinen Facharzt für Innere Medizin erlangte er 1997 und den Additivfacharzt für Gastroenterologie im Jahr 1998. Im Jahr 2000 folgte der Additivfacharzt für Hämato-Onkologie. Zusätzlich zu seiner medizinischen Ausbildung hat Dr. med. Franz, MSc einen Master of Science in Gesundheitsmanagement von der Donauuniversität Krems, den er 2006 abschloss. Dr. med. Franz, MSc ist Autor von zwei Büchern, die sich an ein breites Publikum richten und komplexe medizinische Themen verständlich erklären: "Wunderwelt: Eine Geschichte des menschlichen Körpers" (2007) und "Gerüche, der sechste Sinn" (2010), beide gemeinsam mit Karin Gruber verfasst und im Verlagshaus der Ärzte erschienen.
