Dr Marcelo Vidal is a Physiotherapist who specialises in pediatric rehabilitation at Anatomy Rehab. He is one of the few Physiotherapists in the Middle East and Gulf region who is certified in Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME) therapy, having been trained by the originator of the technique. Dr Vidal specialises in neuro-developmental rehabilitation, gait retraining and functional rehabilitation. He sees children and babies who have abnormal motor development due to prematurity or pathological and genetic disorders.
Dr Vidal has been a practising Physiotherapist for almost 10 years since graduating from Centro Universitario Metodista IPA, Brazil. He completed a specialist training programme in Kinesiology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and in 2013 he founded a specialist Pediatric Physiotherapy clinic in Brazil to treat babies and children with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. He has also been part of a multidisciplinary team at a Pediatric speciality clinic where he pioneered the CME method.
Dr Vidal has a passion for clinical research and has studied and lectured at scientific conferences around the world. His unique therapy interventions based on the CME method and other evidence-based parameters aid with neuroplastic regeneration and functional improvements.
