About Dr Kunal Patel
I am an experienced and dedicated GP and I look to bring a focus on compassion and communication to an industry that can at times feel a little impersonal. All of my training and qualifications were acquired locally having qualified as a Doctor 12 years ago at St Bartholomew’s at the Royal London Hospital, which operates as part of the Prestigious Queen Mary’s University school of Medicine and dentistry in London. I now operate as a Private Doctor in Canterbury and bring my 12 years of experience as both a NHS and Private GP to a role that I’ve had a passion for, for as long as I can remember. I was diagnosed with Asthma at a young age. This diagnosis was quickly followed by the unfortunate realisation that I also suffered from a heart condition. This lead to me requiring close monitoring for most of my childhood, which meant I had not only always had an awareness of the importance of my health, but also a first-hand early experience of the Health Care industry and its value. After spending over a decade in the industry that my own poor childhood health inspired me to join, I realised that there were improvements that could be made to the way the public receive their health care and interact with their Practitioners. I have been working in and around Kent for the entirety of my career, and am now able to bring all of the lessons that I’ve learnt in that time to this exciting new service.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
