He has also completed a fellowship in medical retina and uveitis at St. Thomas' Hospital. His research interests are in diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular conditions, and genetic diseases. He has published papers on hypertensive retinopathy and genetic retinal disorders. Furthermore, Mr Bouras has carried out extensive research on treatments for central serous chorioretinopathy and specialises in laser treatment of CSCR.
