About
Mr. Carter began his medical training at Liverpool Medical School before advancing his expertise in Orthopaedic Surgery through rigorous training in the Northwest of England. In 2022, he completed the esteemed John Charnley Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital, a world-renowned institution performing up to 3000 joint replacements annually. This fellowship allowed him to refine his skills in managing complex pathologies, performing revision surgeries, utilising patient-specific implants, and working with advanced surgical techniques.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Carter serves as the clinical lead for NICE guidance and Metastatic disease at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, reflecting his dedication to improving care standards and patient outcomes. He has contributed to the academic field with several published papers on knee replacement design, survivorship, periprosthetic infection, and revision joint replacement, and he is actively involved in training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
