About Prof Prof. Dr. med. Jochen Jordan
Prof. Dr. med. Jochen Jordan ist approbierter Psychotherapeut mit dem Schwerpunkt. Seine Arbeit ist durch einen tiefenpsychologisch fundierten Ansatz geprägt. Zusätzlich zu seiner Expertise in Einzeltherapie bietet Prof. Dr. med. Jordan auch Gruppentherapie und Paartherapie an. Seine Spezialisierung umfasst die Behandlung von sexuellen Funktionsstörungen. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit liegt auf der Körpertherapie und der EMDR-Traumatherapie. Prof. Dr. med. Jordan absolvierte sein Studium der Pädagogik und Psychologie an den Universitäten Gießen und Heidelberg. Nach dem Abschluss seines Studiums promovierte er 1983 an der Universitätsklinik Frankfurt im Fachbereich Medizin. Seine Dissertation befasste sich mit dem Thema "Psychodynamik und interpersonelle Abwehr bei Patienten mit chronisch rheumatischen Erkrankungen. Ein Beitrag zur Spezifitätshypothese". Im Jahr 1992 folgte die Habilitation für die Fächer "Psychosomatik und Medizinische Psychologie" an der J. W. Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Der Titel seiner Habilitationsschrift lautete "Zum Erleben und zur psychischen Bewältigung medizinischer Technologie am Beispiel der percutanen transluminalen Coronarangioplastie (PTCA)". Prof. Dr. med. Jordan ist in mehreren Fachgesellschaften tätig, darunter das Deutsche Kollegium für Psychosomatische Medizin, die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kardiologie und die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Prävention und Rehabilitation von Herz-Kreislauferkrankungen.
