Dr Cao was awarded a Master of Philosophy in Medicine by the University of Sydney for her thesis examining the surgical management of secondary and tertiary hyperparathyroidism. Her ongoing research interests include head and neck surgical oncology, endocrine surgery, and initiatives aimed at improving patient safety and quality of care.
