He holds a postgraduate qualification in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing from UZ Brussels, Belgium, and completed a postgraduate course in heart failure at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He also undertook a transplant and assist device observership at the German Heart Institute in Berlin. He is certified as a Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners, and holds EHRA certification in cardiac electrophysiology and HFA certification in heart failure.
