Before that, she worked as a clinical psychologist and clinical director in renowned mental health centers in Dubai. She has also gained experience in leading a cutting-edge hospital in the UAE. Before moving to Dubai, Dr. Reis worked for over 10 years as a Clinical and Health Specialist Psychologist and Clinical Director in the Portuguese Private Health System.
She has a special interest and experience in working with trauma-related conditions and population like victims of violence and traumatic events, the LGBTQIA+ community, and other minority groups. Dr. Reis also offers a specialised Stress and Trauma Program, which includes trauma-focused evidence-based psychotherapy tailored to individual needs, referral to the Psychiatry department if required, collaboration with supportive family and friends, family therapy if needed, and group psychotherapy including Expressive Therapy.
Dr. Reis holds professional licenses as a Clinical Psychologist from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and is recognized as a Psychologist Specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology by the Portuguese Psychology Society (OPP). She is also certified as a Supervisor of Clinical and Health Psychologists by the OPP.
