About Dr Iman Kotb
Dr. Iman Kotb is a highly accomplished Consultant Dermatologist with extensive clinical experience and a dedication to advancing dermatological care. She earned her medical degree in Egypt in 2001, followed by foundation year rotations in medical and surgical wards. She then completed a three-year residency in Dermatology and Venereology, obtaining a clinical MSc in Skin and Venereal Diseases in Egypt. Dr. Kotb furthered her expertise with a PhD in Dermatology from the University of Aberdeen, alongside additional clinical training in the UK, including general and acute medicine. Dr. Kotb completed her speciality training in Dermatology across several hospitals in Scotland—Dundee, Aberdeen, and Glasgow—gaining substantial clinical exposure and a wealth of experience in the field. She runs general dermatology clinics for adults and children, as well as skin cancer clinics, where she performs surgical procedures for both benign and cancerous lesions. Additionally, she is the lead for the Vulval Clinic service at NHS Tayside, working collaboratively with Gynaecology, Sexual Health Medicine, and Physiotherapy. In her NHS role, Dr. Kotb is actively involved in teaching, supervising junior doctors, conducting research, and contributing to management. She has published numerous scientific papers in international journals and presented her research at national and international dermatology conferences. As an associate editor for the Skin Health and Disease Journal of the British Association of Dermatologists, Dr. Kotb stays at the forefront of clinical research and advancements in dermatology, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
