About Mr Hideki Nagata
Mr Hideki Nagata is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Hand and Wrist Surgery based in Bath. He currently sees private patients at Sulis Hospital Bath. Mr Nagata completed his medical degree at the University of Nottingham in 2003, followed by his higher surgical training in Severn where he gained valuable experience in prominent healthcare centres in Bristol, Bath, and Swindon. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2013. Mr Nagata later undertook an Advanced Training Post TIG Hand Fellowship at the prestigious Sheffield Hand Centre. This opportunity allowed him to undergo specialised training in orthoplastic hand surgery, developing his expertise in complex procedures and innovative techniques. In February 2016, Mr Nagata was appointed as a Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon at Weston General Hospital. Throughout his career, he has been committed to developing an outstanding hand surgery service within the hospital and establishing collaborative relationships with fellow hand surgeons in the South West region. Mr Nagata has expertise in a wide range of hand and wrist conditions, including Dupuytren's contracture, cubital tunnel syndrome, hand and wrist arthritis, trigger finger, finger joint injuries and ganglion cysts. He also has expertise in hand and wrist trauma, including fractures and ligament injuries. His comprehensive understanding of these complex injuries enables him to provide optimal care and facilitate successful recoveries for his patients. Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Nagata actively engages in teaching and supporting orthopaedic trainees, sharing his expertise and contributing to the growth of the field. With his extensive training, expertise, and dedication to patient care, Mr Nagata is a trusted and respected orthopaedic and hand surgeon.
