About
Emma-Jane supports clients experiencing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, OCD, disordered eating, fertility issues, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. She has extensive experience working with eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, OSFED, and orthorexia. She is also deeply committed to supporting parents and carers, especially those raising neurodivergent children or navigating periods of parenthood such as (in)fertility, pregnancy, postnatal depression, and miscarriage.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in integrative humanistic psychology. She works flexibly and collaboratively, adapting her methods to meet each client’s individual needs. Her focus is on building a trusting, non-judgemental relationship where clients feel heard and understood, rather than offered generic solutions.
In addition to her private practice, Emma-Jane leads a counselling and psychotherapy service for parents and carers of children with ASD and ADHD at a specialist neurodiversity organisation.
Emma-Jane has specialist training in eating disorders (NCFED), postnatal depression (APNI), ADHD (NHS England), and autism (NAS), and holds further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (APT) and EHCPs (IPSEA). She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adheres to their code of ethics.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
