About
Currently, Dr Chatburn is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of East Anglia, where she teaches and conducts research. She has previously held various academic positions, including at the University of Oxford, giving her a strong academic background.
Dr Chatburn’s clinical experience within NHS mental and physical health settings encompasses the full spectrum of presenting problems and severities in both children and adults. Her lived experience with several chronic skin conditions has led her to develop a passion for supporting the mental health and wellbeing of dermatology patients.
At Self London, Dr Chatburn provides psychological assessment and therapy to medical and cosmetic dermatology patients. She also offers expert help for a range of mental health and wellbeing issues arising from skin conditions or concerns. Her compassionate approach and collaborative working style enable patients to gradually become their own therapist, equipping patients with skills to tackle their issues as they face them.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
