Dr Eleanor Chatburn is an accomplished clinical psychologist, accredited cognitive behavioural therapist, mental health educator, and researcher. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and is also a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Dr Chatburn holds a BSc in Psychology, a BA and an MA in English Studies, and a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

Currently, Dr Chatburn is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of East Anglia, where she teaches and conducts research. She has previously held various academic positions, including at the University of Oxford, giving her a strong academic background.

Dr Chatburn’s clinical experience within NHS mental and physical health settings encompasses the full spectrum of presenting problems and severities in both children and adults. Her lived experience with several chronic skin conditions has led her to develop a passion for supporting the mental health and wellbeing of dermatology patients.

At Self London, Dr Chatburn provides psychological assessment and therapy to medical and cosmetic dermatology patients. She also offers expert help for a range of mental health and wellbeing issues arising from skin conditions or concerns. Her compassionate approach and collaborative working style enable patients to gradually become their own therapist, equipping patients with skills to tackle their issues as they face them.
