About Dr Edwina Eade
Dr Eade is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with subspecialty training in Eyelid, Orbital and Tear Duct Surgery and Ocular Oncology. They graduated from Medicine with Honours at the University of Sydney. Dr Eade completed their specialty ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital including 12 months at Westmead Children's Hospital. After completing a Masters Degree in Ophthalmic Science at the University of Sydney they undertook a fellowship in Ocular Oncology at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, USA. Dr Eade undertook two further years of sub-specialty training with world leaders in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal surgery at the Royal Manchester Eye Hospital, United Kingdom and the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, Melbourne. They have also completed an observership at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, USA, to gain further international experience working with experts in oculoplastic surgery. Dr Eade is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology (RANZCO) and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons (ANZSOPS). They have published widely in the peer-reviewed medical literature and presented at national and international conferences. Dr Eade is a Visiting Medical Officer at Northern Beaches Hospital. They are part of a multidisciplinary team treating patients with facial nerve palsy at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse involving other specialist surgeons and allied health practitioners.
