She has been heavily involved in medical education and as a Consultant Appraiser, and she was a panel member of medical students' Fitness to Practise hearings at University College London from 2009 - 2023. Dr Mikhail was also chair of her NHS Trust Drugs and Therapeutics Group from 2012 - 2023. She has also published in peer-reviewed journals.
