About Dr Robert Burd
Mr Robert Burd is a Consultant Dermatologist at Leicester University Hospitals. He qualified from the Leicester University Medical School in 1990, completed general professional training in internal medicine and then undertook higher specialist training in dermatology. He trained in Amersham, Leeds, York and Leicester. Mr Burd's first consultant post was at The Hospital of St Cross, Rugby, after which he moved to Leicester to lead the dermatological surgery and laser service at UHL. Mr Burd sees patients with all general dermatological conditions. His area of expertise is cutaneous oncology and he has a special interest in dermatological surgery, especially for the management of skin cancer. Mr Burd has also wide experience in managing acne and the use of lasers in treating cutaneous disorders. Mr Burd is the Head of Service for the dermatology at Leicester University Hospitals. He is responsible for the cutaneous laser service in Leicestershire and he chairs the Leicester based multi-disciplinary skin cancer team.
