Dr. Richard Turner is a Consultant Dermatologist and dermatological surgeon with a special interest in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer, with particular skill in complex skin surgery, Moh's surgery and mole/melanoma assessment and treatment. The majority of his work is cancer-related with frequent collaborations with plastic surgery and oncology, ensuring excised lesions are sent for timely histology and allowing oncology input for further treatment and plastic surgery if further reconstruction is required. His routine practice is at the Churchill  treating around 9000 patients per year under his care and operates on about 1000 of them (100 of which are Mohs cases).

Dr. Turner achieved his primary medical qualification (MB BCh) at the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1989. He is now the Chairman of the Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team and Clinical Director of Specialist Medicine at Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust. Dr. Turner also supports the general dermatology service with a particular interest in male genital disease.
